As it’s Memorial Day, I want to join with the many others who have expressed their thanks to our current and veteran military personnel. We appreciate your sacrifices and your steadfastness. I’ve had several students who served in Iraq and/or Afghanistan, and my cousin has also done several tours in Iraq. I know many of these veterans face challenges I can’t begin to imagine, as a result of what they saw and experienced and had to do. So for all of you, please know that you’re in my thoughts and prayers–not only today, but today is a perfect time to express this.
